R&B veteran Faith Evans may have a new album out on Oct 5th, but unfortunately, this is not the reason why she made the news this morning.The Grammy winning singer/songwriter was arrested at a DUI checkpoint near Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles, California, and was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving. She was held for approximately four hours before being released. This is not the first time she has been arrested. Back in 2004, the singer and her record exec husband Todd Russaw, were arrested for possession of marijuana and cocaine. The two were taken into custody at a checkpoint in Atlanta, Georgia and both spent 13 weeks in an addiction treatment program.
Faith is currently making a comeback to music after releasing new single ‘Gone Already’ from her upcoming album ‘Something About Faith’. She is also currently shooting a brand new reality show to mark her comeback to the music scene. Just say no to drama!
