According to reports, Ciara has abruptly canceled her appearance at ‘Atlanta Gay Pride’ weekend. It was reported how the singer was due to perform at the event, alongside Nicki Minaj. Apparently, a press release was sent out by Traxx Atlanta and Sean Biggs Entertainment confirming the singer canceling.
It read: “Traxx Atlanta are ‘in talks’ with R&B recording artist Ciara hoping that she will [change her mind and] ‘join the likes of LiL Kim, Nicki, Monica and Trina (just to name a few) that have graced [Traxx] in the years before her”.
A Traxx Atlanta rep made a biting statement, which some are believing is an attack towards the singer: “I really need to talk to any one that would have a problem with our line up. With prop 8 being shot down again we don’t need our black public figures discriminating against gays and lesbians”.
A specific reason was not given as to WHY she canceled her appearance. Maybe it was down to scheduling conflict or a higher paying gig. However, if they were targeting Ciara with that statement, it comes across as really harsh especially since they are not giving out any further information on the situation.
