Detroit’s own one and only Ms. Anita Baker finally received her long overdue tribute at the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards.

This legend is a singer, songwriter that crosses all genres of music from smooth jazz, soul, soul jazz, R & B and quiet storm.

Now my parents separated when I was seven years old and lawd why in the world did Ms. Anita Baker put out her CD’s “Rapture” and “Giving You the Best That I Got”.

Something about her 1988 cd ~ “Giving You the Best That I Got” helped soothed my mother’s soul and get her thru her divorce.

She wore that CD out so much that I couldn’t help but eventually fall in love with Ms. Anita Baker.

Now thru out the years there has been many rumors that Ms. Anita is a difficult diva behind the scenes; however, knowone can take away her beauty and one of a kind voice.

Before there was a Halle Berry every women wanted Ms. Anita Baker signature short hair-do. It’s timeless and always has complimented her style.

So Ms. Anita you will always be my Angel!
