Eddi-Rue McClanahan aka Blanche Devereaux from The Golden Girls has passed away today, June 03, 2010 of a stroke.
At 76 years young she was our original “Samantha Jones” before there was a “Sex and the City”.
She was our classy, yet, sassy, drop-it-like-it’s –hot Southern belle that stole our hearts on Golden Girls.
In her real life, Ms. McClanahan was married six times . . . Yes Ma’am. . . .
Ummm, Hmmmm . . . maybe her and Blanche had more in common than we thought.
But, that’s okay, because Blanche made no apologies for her man-crazed ways, and we loved every bit of it.
Ms. McClanahan, you will be truly missed, and you will always be our Golden Girl to the end!
