"At a party in London, Diddy had peons spray his cologne 'I am King' till everyone in the room was gagging.
When Diddy hit Blighty for an extraordinary seven-hour booze bender there was a very strong smell of excess.
The megastar rapper transformed into Diva Diddy and was followed around by personal perfume sprayers who squirted his Sean John fragrance every 20 minutes.
But clubbers were choking with laughter at one of the exclusive bars graced by the 40-year-old, when the DJ who was spinning his tracks started gagging after too much scent came his way.
But not to worry, Diddy had someone acting as a walking coathanger there to waft it away, while another flunky combed his precious locks for him.
And he would only drink his own brand of vodka called Ciroc. One waitress brought a different type to his table and she was swiftly ushered away by his large minders.
An onlooker said: “All eyes were on Diddy. Well, you could smell him coming a mile off. It was as if a king had arrived in the building – but you could hardly see him under all that mist from the perfume.
“His songs were played back-to-back for 30 minutes for his grand entrance. Girls were flinging themselves at him – it was wild.”
Diddy arrived at the Runway club in West London at 1am to promote his album, Last Train to Paris, which is out on June 22, and his personal assistant was on hand to hold his large lamb-skin coat and scarf and to help him put it on when he wanted it.
It didn’t seem to do him any harm as he handpicked a bevy of scantily-clad girls to join him in the early hours of Saturday morning.
And he wasn’t going to stop the party just because it was late. At 6am he was still going and moved his bash to the nearby Jet Black club.
He had magician Dynamo by his side performing tricks and he danced most of the night to house music.
Then it was a pit stop at his hotel before the return flight to the US.
A source said: “Even back at the hotel he did not want to sleep for fear of missing something. His team prised their eyes open to stay up with him.
One of them even filmed every move of his wild time in London.”
