My Pain = Grief!

Embedded video from CNN Video

I battled with myself about this story.

I just kept looking at Derrion Albert’s face, however, I became numb, unconscious and anesthetized by the young man that appeared to be staring back at me.

You often hear about stories such as this, and after growing up seeing it day in and day out like myself you think well that’s the norm and part of life when you grow up in the inner city. As a teen I would motivate myself by saying. . . B it will make you stronger, so I thought.

However, I ended up having this nonchalant attitude about teen violence, about my life, about my neighborhood, and about my parents, teachers, counselors and advisors that were suppose to protect me.

Respect for Authority, Fear, nor Consequences, seem to never be on the forefront of young teens minds today. Yet, in hindsight twenty-twenty I was that teen. I was the kid that literally hated everyone. I hated junior high, I hated high school, and so many of my peers I wanted to take out on many occasions. I was invincible, and the school bully was my nemesis. I was just waiting for them to say something smart to me. My plan was in motion and I wanted them to feel the wrath of my anger and frustration. They always said the quiet ones were a little touched. I so wanted to prove them right, however, was death my ultimate goal?

Death seems to me the ultimate goal for this generation. Whether intentional or unintentional a good ol’ fashion fight in the yard at 3:45 p.m. behind the bungalows with no one else jumping in is a joke. It’s all about taken each other out. And, hopefully, I will get you first and you don’t ever get back up!

Derrion Albert is gone, and the other young men that are involved have been changed forever. If we could only rewind the hands of time.

If only Derrion was out sick that day, or stayed behind to work on a school project or had to attend after school practice, perhaps he may still be here.

Often we here that infamous clichĂ© that everything happens for a reason, however, Lord I don’t want to hear that today.

I can’t seem to comprehend a reason that would ever be good enough to take that young man’s life so soon!

We need help LORD ASAP!

The Naked Truth

Anthony Charles Williams II, better known as Gospel Singer Tonex.

I remember being introduced to Tonex at a time, when I literally had given up on life. Being from California, I often heard of his father the late, Dr. Anthony Williams, who was the Senior Pastor and District Elder in the Truth Apostolic Community Church in suburban Spring Valley, CA. However, since I resided in Los Angeles, Spring Valley was not around the corner, thus, I never got a chance to attend his service.

Nonetheless, people often raved about his son who later became known as Tonex. One of his first singles I heard was “Personal Jesus”. From that single alone, I was caught up in his rapture. Then came other favorites such as “To Know You Lord”, “Restoration”, “Since Jesus Came’, and “God Has Not Forgot”.

However, when I heard his song “Make Me Over”, I literally owed my life to him. The song pierced my soul like none other. He kept me alive a many a day. Later in life, I moved to Baltimore, MD, and one day while driving home I was listening to one of my favorite radio stations, Heaven 1580. This particular day, this young lady requested “Make Me Over” to help ease her pain and deal with the hurdles that life seemed to be throwing her way. Just so happen Tonex was coming to town that evening to perform at Bishop Thomas, New Psalmist Baptist Church, located in Baltimore, Maryland. At this point I had never seen Tonex live.

The minute Tonex opened his mouth just too even hum, I became mesmerized. I had never seen a man sing with little effort, yet, with so much intensity, sincerity and conviction. He hit notes that literally would make you shed a tear. His praise and worship was like none other. That particular night I was just in awe. I couldn’t understand how this thin, petite man could sing and praise as if he had this abundance of joy despite all the many things people said about him.

From his artsy, eccentric ways, mannerisms, eye catching hairstyles, looks and stares he still sang for the Lord as if he didn’t have a care in the world.

I try my best to not be so judgmental, yet, I fall short ever time. I looked at him, and questioned how he endures the criticism, backlash, that seems to plague his career. Yet, somehow he still keeps pressing on. Despite his sexuality, or just being OUT THE BOX, I thank you Tonex for just being you but more importantly reminding me that God can continue to MAKE ME OVER!

Hearing your live version of Make me Over, makes me shed another tear!

New Female Group Called The Queen Project

"In the spirit of 90's R&B trio LSG – Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill – BV Buzz has learned exclusively that three R&B divas have formed a new group with the working name of TDK.

Singers Tamia, Deborah Cox and Kelly Price have united for an upcoming compilation project called 'The Queen Project.'

Led by the first single, 'Queen,' the three vocal powerhouses are elated about the opportunity to form this sisterhood in song.

"Truly I am excited because what we're doing has never been done before with three women on CD," Price told BV Buzz. "Each of us in our own right is a true vocalist and while I am loving what we're doing in the studio, I just can't wait for people to see our live show!"

Though each of the ladies knew each other prior to this endeavor, it is their first time collaborating together on music in any capacity.

"I'm so excited to work with these ladies because I'm a fan first," Tamia offered. "It is fun and we have a really good time together. There's something special here musically and we have a genuine bond."

Cox added: "I fee the same way. It's really the most exciting project I've been a part of. We're going to be raising the bar just a tad. It's great to work with likeminded individuals. We have the same sentiments as singers, mothers and wives!"

Producer Shep Crawford (Whitney Houston/Heather Headley) was the mastermind behind the group and said his vision was to just bring three dynamic women together to sing.

"My goal was to highlight the amazing talents individually, while blending them together to unite for this mega project. This is a unique union that will provide the music you have come to expect from these three superstars," said Crawford.

TDK is currently in Los Angeles recording songs with Crawford and producer Warryn Campbell (Mary Mary/Kanye West). They are slated to also record material with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, R. Kelly and Raphael Saadiq as well.

'The Queen Project' is scheduled to be released in early 2010; however no record company affiliation has been announced at this time.

The group's first concert together will be in New York City during the Circle of Sisters expo on Oct. 10.

In addition to the music endeavor, TDK is documenting the development of this project and intend to turn it into a reality show."

Now MO-MO, You Know Better!

Even though she's been getting major Oscar buzz for her part in the upcoming film Precious: Based on the novel Push by Sapphire, and even though the rest of the cast, including Mariah Carey, have been promoting the film all over the place? Snitches claim it's because Monique has been demanding a $100,000 appearance fee. They say it was like pulling teeth to finally get her to agree to promote the film on an upcoming segment on The Today Show.

D.C. Packing Like That?

We’ve compiled a list of the states that are packing– and the ones that are lacking! Now that we have cock size as a feature onMANHUNT profiles, we couldn’t resist getting a feel for the our member’s packages. Well… you know what I mean.

Washington D.C. came in as the largest with an average of 7.59 inches! I bet some of you bottoms are booking your flights to D.C. right now…

But you may want to stay away from Alaska if size is your thing, because it ranks last with an average size of only 6.34! That doesn’t sound too bad, but keep in mind that at least a half-inch can be chalked up to internet exaggeration. So the picture in Alaska may be picturesque, but it certainly isn’t big. Also we have to remember the shrinkage factor because of the cold. And besides, good things often come in small packages, or on them.

Check out how your area measures up, after the JUMP:

District of Columbia - 7.59
New York - 7.50
California - 7.45
Florida - 7.44
Kentucky - 7.42
Georgia - 7.41
North Carolina - 7.39
Pennsylvania - 7.39
Rhode Island - 7.38
Minnesota - 7.34
West Virginia - 7.32
Illinois - 7.31
Arizona - 7.31
South Dakota - 7.31
Texas - 7.30
Ohio - 7.30

Big Willie Lied

Why Why Why… Willie from Day 26 is caught up in some deep naked mess… A few weeks back he denied that he ever took any naked pictures with his phone… The pictures was then sent out all over the internet.

Willie immediately fired off a claim that the pics were fraudulent and that he would NEVER disrespect himself, his fans, or his children by posing nude.

Well it looks like was telling us all a BOLD face lie because Mediatakeout.com have found revealing photo’s with all Willie tatts making his statement incredibly hard to swallow [um..no pun intended].The photo’s are quite clear and there’s no denying it any longer.

Willie has now posted a statment that says

“It has been brought to my attention that private and personal photos of mine are currently circulating the web. As a man that is barely home with his family, my wife and I share some intimate moments the best way that we can. It is incredibly disturbing that someone with bad intentions would illegally hack into my email account and distribute these private moments to the world. I ask that everyone respect the privacy of my family. Also, I offer my sincere apologies to my fans.”

Awwww Shucks . . . He Such A CARE BEAR!

This is just what I heard. . .

"True Blood actor Mehcad Brooks told Honey magazine in a recent interview that he is putting off his own nuptials until all gays can be married as well.

I want a wife, I want kids. The whole thing. But I’m also not even concerned with marrying somebody until it’s legal for everybody to get married. And what I mean by that is the whole Prop 8 thing. I find it really offensive. I just find it really problematic when you start throwing people’s rights away. Until we get our gay brothers and sisters back into a realm of consciousness that everyone else is in, it’s just not right. A woman who’s getting married — it’s probably going to be a gay man who made her dress, and a gay man who’s doing her hair and makeup, but he can’t get married. How messed up is that?"

I think I almost choked on that T. . . . Yo Go Boy!

Happiness Doesn't Come Easy!

Mrs. Houston-Brown . . . WAIT . . . Oops, I stand corrected.

It’s now Ms. Whitney Elizabeth Houston, which is alright by me.

I never imagined the day that Ms. Houston would truly be candid. But, to be honest I think her candidness was done in an obscure Diva-ish kind of way.

I listened to Ms. Houston rasp intuitively as she alluded to her addiction, obstacles, marital woes and trying to live up to the Whitney the world wanted her to be. But, somehow her responses bewilder me.

Was I the only one feeling like a T.G.I. Fridays’ Boneless chicken wing?

I needed to feel like a tender baby back pork rib fired, grilled and glazed to a T!

I took in her every move, her posture, motion, shrug, wave, inhale, exhale . . . even her pause . . . as if they were all calculated moves.

Yet, in the end I became frustrated and overwhelmed with anger that she could be so careless with her heavenly gift, indeed.

Before my infatuation with Beyoncé, Mariah, Christina Aguilera, J-Hud, Faith Evans, Brandy, Monica, Keisha, Celine, Lauryn, Janet, MJB or even Toni B, there was only one woman who perhaps could rise to a stratosphere of Aretha you see.

She was noted as one of the Greatest Singers of All Time, and all you had to say was one name . . . Whitney . . . and you instantly recognized.

She became known as “The Voice”, The DIVA, an ICON, but, oh how a term by the name of “addiction” literally changed her state of mind!

I like Oprah and so many fans was secretly routing for Whitney. Hoping and praying her life wouldn’t abruptly come to an end. I needed her to have a Breakthrough and for the Lord to shed light on her and reveal her inner strength deep within.

It appears she’s on the right track, well at least to me, but, it so apparent that the pressures of Fame & Fortune can siphon the joy right out of THEE!

I question the lives of celebrities like Kanye West, Lindsay Lohan, Mariah Carey, MJB, Wendy Williams, Michael Jackson, Courtney Love, Amy Winehouse, Dave Chappelle among countless others and have come to the conclusion, that ultimately they all are striving for Happiness and Normalcy.

All I really want
Is to be happy
And to find a love that’s mine
It would be so sweet. . .

Sidebar ~ Ms. Houston sounded pretty darn good on Part 2 interview with Oprah. She sang in a lower register, but, her performance was a far cry from that Good Morning America catastrophe.

I Knew I Like Him For A Reason

Day 26 member Willie Taylor is denying that the alleged nude photos of him floating on the Internet are valid. The flicks online allegedly show his face and his penis. None the less, Will claims it’s not him in the picture.

“It is very unfortunate that someone would try to degrade my name by posting a fake photoshop image of myself on the internet holding what is alleged to be my penis. The alleged picture is my face, but the holding the penis part is not.

I am a man that has a family and have a tremendous amount of respect for myself, my son, my group and all of my fans across the world and I would never put them through such a predicament. So, in a nut shell, that picture is not me.”

This is crazy, because it surely does look ALOT like Will, but would he really have a photo like this floating on the net with his wife and son at home?
